A curated season of contemporary exhibitions presented at Big Blue Gallery.

June 5–28, 2026
Artwork by Janet Moore

Vessel

Janet Moore

Layered, intuitive, and quietly atmospheric. Big Blue Gallery presents paintings, abstract and mixed media works by Janet Moore — works built through handmade paper, collage, paint, graphite, and charcoal, where traces of earlier marks and textures continue to emerge through the surface.

Original works available for acquisition throughout the exhibition.

Artwork by Jessica Sheila from Taking Up Space

Taking Up Space

Jessica Sheila

In Taking Up Space, Jessica Sheila paints on fabric and thrifted linens that already carry traces of use, care, and history. Handkerchiefs, aprons, tablecloths, embroidery, and lace become places for colour, movement, and trust — a way of quieting the inner critic and following the hand.

These works are about permission: to take up room, to work more freely, and to add a new layer of expression to objects that once belonged to everyday life.
